Filter Drier

refrigerant filter dries
Filter drier for light commercial system

Filter drier is installed along refrigeration cycle (mostly at the end of condenser coil) to suck up the speck of moisture that could possibly be hiding in the tubing before the refrigerant is charged. If the refrigerant is charged into a system with moisture not acquitted, the moisture could freeze in, or along the expansion device (in the case of a capillary tube) and damage the compressor; that is, abnormal pressure would build on the high-pressure side of the refrigeration cycle, and the compressor piston could be damaged.
